The Holy Prophet (pbuh) said: "Do not only consider how much a person prays and fasts, how many times he goes on pilgrimage, how many good deeds he has performed and how he engages in supplication at night, But consider his honesty and trustworthiness." Imam Jaafar Sadiq (pbuh) said: " The unhappy person on the Day of Judgment will be he who preached justice but did not act according to it."

The Holy Prophet (pbuh) said: " One who guides towards ( an act of ) goodness is like one who (actually) performed it."

Imam Ali (pbuh) said: "Honesty will guide you to goodness & goodness will invite you to Heaven. As long as you tell the truth, no lies will be left in your heart & you will be known as an honest person near God." On Honesty, Forgetting People's Faults and Forbidding Gossipping.
